The Naturist Talks: Andrew from Russia

One of the main reasons why we started this project is to show the world that naturists are not some strange dark commune but that actually everyone could be one… Or could enjoy being one if they took the first step.

Our main example of “everyone” is of course ourselves, we write posts about naturism in general but also about our own experiences. But some of you might be thinking “Yes sure, those two are probably just the strange kids in the block…” (nah, we know you’re not thinking that about us, but we’re trying to write an introduction here). So we decided to let other naturists have a word as well.

So please sit back and get inspired!

Meanwhile we already published interviews with people from all over the world. You can find them in the The Naturist Talks section.
Our guest for today is Andrew from Russia.

Hello Andrew, tell us something about yourself

Hello world! My name is Andrew. I’m from Russia! I’m 42 years old, living in a large regional city near the Volga river. I am married and working in the social sphere. We have a country house where I often relax and a car.

How and at what age did you become a naturist?

I was born in a small town near a river and a lake. When I was a kid, my friends and I used to swim naked in the river. It was natural, and we were not shy about our nudity. That was excellent! After finishing school, me and my three friends had a nude picnic on the beach. There were many secret places on the river. We barbecued, swam, and sunbathed. It was a feeling of freedom that I remembered forever! So I really like naked rest!

Is naturism allowed in your country and what’s the public opinion?

Public nudity in public places in Russia is prohibited. Most likely, the police will arrest a naked man in the city. Many people believe that nudity is related to sex. Nudists relax on the beaches of the Baltic and Black seas, where there is no police and you can enjoy a naked holiday. You can relax naked in secret places that you will find yourself. I really like to relax naked in my country house, where I feel complete freedom and relaxation.

What do you think is the best and worst thing about naturism?

Naturism without clothes makes you a part of nature and creates inner peace! I like this. Unfortunately, many people think nudists are crazy!

Do you find it easy to make naturist friends?

I’m the only nudist in my family. I sometimes communicate with nudists of my city on the Internet. I think a lot of people don’t know about great experiences when they are naked on the beach. Many stereotypes do not allow them to do it! Now among my friends there are no nudists.

What’s the best tip you have for beginning naturists?

I want to tell them : You need to understand that nudism is not about sex! It’s relaxing! It’s a way to eliminate stress! You need to focus on that! And have fun with non-sexual nudity!

Anything else you’d like to share with our audience?

My dream is to travel the world on a big ship and meet new nudist friends from different countries! Maybe someday I’ll meet Nick and Lins! Our planet is not very big! All people should be friends!

Thank you so much for your participation Andrew!

  2. As a naturist of 50 years I think people who keep their clothes on (textiles) in hot weather are (somewhat) crazy! It seems so natural to be comfortable instead of hot and sweaty.
