The Naturist Talks: Alberto from Italy

One of the main reasons why we started this project is to show the world that naturists are not some strange dark commune but that actually everyone could be one… Or could enjoy being one if they took the first step.

Our main example of “everyone” is of course ourselves, we write posts about naturism in general but also about our own experiences. But some of you might be thinking “Yes sure, those two are probably just the strange kids in the block…” (nah, we know you’re not thinking that about us, but we’re trying to write an introduction here). So we decided to let other naturists have a word as well.

So please sit back and get inspired!

Meanwhile we already published interviews with people from all over the world. You can find them in the The Naturist Talks section.
Let’s listen to the naturist experiences of Alberto from Italy.

Hello Alberto, tell us something about yourself

Hello everyone, my name is Alberto, 30 years old from Milan. I like being among people, have friends, going out and having fun! I really love cinema and movies are one of my great passion… together with nudism and being naked whenever possible. My girlfriend is comfortable being topless and can’t wait to try go nude this summer!

How and at what age did you become a naturist?

I was 20 when I first tried to be naked on a beach. It happened during a wonderful holiday in Formentera, the smallest of the Balearic islands. I was there with my family and I knew very well it was the best place to get naked. So in the late afternoon I told them that I was going to the other side of the beach because I wanted to take off my swimsuit. They smiled like it was ok for them, so I went. I found a nice spot with few people and I took it off. Best decision ever. A dream come true… and from then… bye bye tan lines!

Is naturism allowed in your country and what’s the public opinion?

Despite of what you may think in Italy there are very few official beaches… no more than six or seven… and many more unofficial beaches where you know you might find nude bathers. The public opinion has improved from the past years (80s… 90s…) and now the majority is familiar with the fact that some people like to sunbathe in the nude… but we can do better. The goal is to make 100% of the people think there’s nothing wrong with that!

What do you think is the best and worst thing about naturism?

The sense of freedom is the first thing you’ll experience as soon you take off your swimsuit… the first skinny dipping… lying on the sand with nothing on…. the all over tan… the beautiful places you’ll visit while searching for a spot to be naked. The holidays with friends all happy and all naked with nothing to hide.

The worst thing could be that sometimes, especially in the non-official beaches, you could meet some people who are not nudists and don’t care about the philosophy but they’ll stare at you or your girlfriend as if they never saw a naked girl before… That could be unpleasant.

Do you find it easy to make naturist friends?

Not very much because it’s not the very first thing you say when you meet someone…. but if you keep talking to them, maybe about summer or holidays I do the first step and I declare it… and you may find you just met a nudist like you! Internet helps us but sometimes the distance is the hard part. We can’t go to the beach every week or every month and it’s difficult to arrange dates with people who also have their schedule, day off from work etc. etc… We know many Italian nudists virtually but very few in person.

What’s the best tip you have for beginning naturists?

If you have inside of you the feeling or the curiosity of being nude… just do it… at home… at the beach if it’s allowed… go ahead and take it off. It will be something that you never forget… and if you have a partner or friends to share the experience with… It’s the best!

Anything else you’d like to share with our audience?

One memory from an holiday few years ago… If you find yourself on a beach and aren’t sure if you can’t take off the swimsuit… be brave.. do the first step. We did it in Spain and in the next hours all the people who arrived on the beach seeing us naked stripped as well! We transformed a part of a textile beach in a nudist one! Of course be careful and try to feel if the nude sunbathing is allowed… it depends also from the country you’re visiting… and Spain is one of the best. I wish Italy could be like this.

Thank you so much for your participation Alberto!

  1. Great to have a passion ,but Alberto , no one will ever make anything be 100% acceptable for everybody , no matter what the subject is.
