On France’s Mediterranean coast, naturist resorts are few and far between. Most are hidden inland, away from the rhythm of the sea. Sérignan Plage Nature is a rare exception. It’s a place where the sound of the Mediterranean Sea can always be heard in the background, where wellness and luxury intertwine with nature, and where every detail is carefully designed to make guests feel welcome.
This was the second time we visited Sérignan Plage Nature, and we remembered the quality of the services very well. Needless to say that we arrived with high expectations, which were immediately fulfilled when we entered the brand new reception desk. It’s the kind of oasis of rest and peacefulness that’s exactly what people need after a long drive (or flight) to the south of France. The reception sets the tone of what you’re about to experience: Great service, high quality, and no compromises on excellence.
How to get to Sérignan Plage Nature
Sérignan Plage Nature is located near the town of Béziers, in the Languedoc region of southern France. The nearest airport is Béziers Cap d’Agde, just a short drive away. Larger airports such as Montpellier and Toulouse also provide convenient access, as does the TGV train service to Béziers.
From there, the resort is easily reached by rental car or taxi (or Uber). For those travelling with their own transportation, the drive along France’s southern highways offers a scenic prelude to arrival, but keep common traffic jams into account when visiting during the high season.
Accommodations at Sérignan Plage Nature
We camped this time and found the pitches to be flat, spacious, and thoughtfully divided into different neighbourhoods, ensuring that the large resort never feels overwhelming. For those not bringing their own tent or caravan, the range of rental options is impressive. There are twelve different categories, from glamping tents to modern mobile homes.
We only had the chance to see a few rentals from the inside, because the resort was almost fully booked during our stay. Among these, we particularly liked the Botanique mobile homes. They are among the newer models, with bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large terrace with outdoor cooking facilities. Our favourite detail here was the direct access from the master bedroom to the terrace.
The Evasion mobile home has the same style and amenities, but feels a bit smaller. Both times we’ve been to Sérignan Plage Nature, we very much admired the glamping tents that are located in a cool beach setting. But it’s pretty hard to get your hands on one of these as they rent out so quickly.
All rentals include free bicycles to use, an excellent perk for getting around both the resort and the surrounding countryside. If you’re camping, you can rent bicycles.
Facilities at Sérignan Plage Nature
One of the crown jewels of the resort is its 500-meter nude beach. Wide, sandy, and typically with a welcoming crowd. The beach is also accessible if you’re not staying at Sérignan Plage Nature, but staff presence ensures that the atmosphere remains safe and comfortable for everyone.
Another highlight is the swimming pool area, which blends natural colours into the landscape and radiates a calm, upscale vibe. The sun loungers invite long afternoons of relaxation, interrupted only by a refreshing swim.
And then there is the Balneo, with its Roman-inspired design, bubbling jacuzzis, and tranquil pools. It is the perfect space if you want to get away from the buzz of the resort and enjoy some quietness. The massage centre adds the finishing touch to this oasis of wellness.
Dining is far beyond what one expects from a campground. Clos des Oliviers serves from breakfast through dinner, with a terrace that allows guests to remain clothes-free while lunching or dining under the open sky. Here’s also where the evening entertainment happens. Sunday brunch at Clos des Oliviers is legendary, with more options than you could ever try in one day. On Sunday evenings, there’s live cooking.
La Villa restaurant, shared with the clothed side, also offers excellent meals and cocktails. Especially their naturist terrace is highly recommended. In summer, a poolside snack bar provides a third food option. Of course, there’s also the onsite shop if you want to prepare your own food and drinks.
New at the resort is a coworking space, so if you want to extend your stay by getting some work done online, that’s totally possible in a comfortable way.
Around Sérignan Plage Nature
Guests of Sérignan Plage Nature have the added advantage of access to the clothed side of the resort. This opens up additional pools, shops, and activities if you are willing to cover up.
Beyond the resort, there’s too much to explore at the Mediterranean coast to list in this blog post. Some top things are the towns of Béziers, Narbonne, and Montpellier, each offering markets, restaurants, and lively local culture. Inland, nature reserves and hiking trails reveal a different side of the region.

Your questions answered
How is the wellness?
It’s great! Of course, if you’re coming from a country with a sprawling wellness culture, you may find that it can’t compare to your local spa that might have several saunas or hammams, but this is definitely the closest thing you’ll find in this part of Europe.
It should also be mentioned that the balneo is shared with the textile part of the resort. In the mornings, it’s nude-only, in the afternoons, bathing-suit only. Everyone is welcome all the time, if they are willing to adapt to the dress code. We’ve seen plenty of people come from the clothed side to enjoy the balneo naked. But we haven’t seen a single guest from the clothes-free side put on a bathing suit to enter the balneo in the afternoon.
How close is the campground to the beach?
Depending on where exactly you’re staying on the domain, this can be anything between a 5-second and 5-minute walk.
How about sports activities?
There are a few sports activities like tennis and petanque, but the focus is much more on relaxation.
Can we be nude at the restaurant?
Ha! This is a question we get a lot about this resort, because it is a bit confusing. At Clos des Oliviers, you’re welcome to be naked on the open terrace throughout the whole day. If you’re dining inside or on the covered terrace, you’re expected to put something on.
La Villa restaurant is shared with the clothed side, so covering up is a necessity. However, they also have a naturist terrace throughout the day, with its own bar and menu, where you can obviously be naked. The general rule of thumb at both places is: If there’s a roof over your head, put some clothes on.
How does the split with the non-naturist part work?
The best way to describe this is like two neighbouring resorts with a wall between them. Honestly, we can imagine that some people visit Sérignan Plage Nature without ever realising that there’s also a clothed Sérignan Plage.
Guests of the clothed side are not allowed to enter the naturist side, but vice versa, guests from the naturist side can go to the clothed side and freely use the facilities there as well.
Is Sérignan Plage Nature family-friendly or more singles/couples?
The resort is very family-oriented, with specific amenities like playgrounds and a kids’ club. The dynamics largely depend on the season. In May, June, and September, you can expect more of a couples crowd, during the summer there are plenty of families.
