The Naturist Talks: Tanmoy from India

As you may have read in the very first post of this blog, one of the main reasons why we started this project is to show the world that naturists are not some strange dark commune but that actually everyone could be one… Or could enjoy being one if they took the first step.

Our main example of “everyone” is of course ourselves, we write posts about naturism in general but also about our own experiences. But some of you might be thinking “Yes sure, those two are probably just the strange kids in the block…” (nah, we know you’re not thinking that about us, but we’re trying to write an introduction here). So we decided to let other naturists have a word as well.

So please sit back and get inspired!

Meanwhile we already published several interviews with people from all over the world. You can find them in the The Naturist Talks section.
Our guest for today is Tanmoy, who will tell you a bit about how to be a naturist in his home country India.

Hello Tanmoy, tell us something about yourself
My name is Tanmoy Ganguly and live in Kolkata,India.

How and at what age did you become a naturist?
I am a naturist inside my room. Until today I still haven’t tried being naked outside in the open, except in Spas.

Is naturism allowed in your country and what’s the public opinion?
No, it’s not allowed. But there is a certain sect in Hindus, known as Sadhus, who practice Nudism in public.

We hate to divide people into groups, but we’ll do it anyway…
Do you consider yourself a naturist, a nudist or an occasional nudist?
I don’t know the answer on this one.
I think I am an occasional Naturist but sometimes I feel as a naturist. I only practice nudism inside a room when there’s nobody who can see me.

Do you find it easy to make naturist friends?
Yes, online. I have been chatting to lot of people.

What’s the best tip you have for beginning naturists?
Your body is just like everybody else’s made of blood, flesh and bones and it is as beautiful as you are. Be proud of your actions and not about how you will look or about what others think of your nakedness.

Anything else you’d like to share with our audience?
This is nice way to get in touch with many friends.

Thank you so much for your participation Tanmoy!

All photos in this post are coming from Google and Twitter. If you find one of yourself and you don’t want it to be on our blog, let us know and we’ll remove it.

    • In many places/cultures where nudism is not really accepted by the majority, it’s often much worse to be caught as a woman than as a man. That’s why women are more careful about this.

    • Thanks for your concern, Eugene. India has vast cultures and many religions. So its not accepted here but some closed doors nudity.

  2. I am a nudism lover ,and also a happy nudist myself also have been with swingers and open minded people. Nudism is a very beautiful concept if people try to understand the base of it. It’s not just about a sexual freedom but also to portray the beautiful body you have been gifted. Human body is not to be ashamed of unless we as human make it look vulgar. We can always enjoy nudism in our own way, be it in public or at home
